Frequently asked questions
Short answers about price, privacy, supported systems, browsers and uninstalling.
Is Rapidly really free?
Yes. There are no accounts, no ads and no paid version.
Which systems does it run on?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Nothing else is supported.
Does it work with my browser?
There is an extension for Chrome and Edge (how). With other browsers you can paste links into Rapidly, or use the clipboard offer.
Does it collect anything about me?
No. The only requests besides your downloads are an update check and a news check, and both carry just the app version. See Privacy.
Will it make every download faster?
Not always. If the server or your connection is the limit, nothing can go faster, and Rapidly tells you so. Speed Lab shows what it does on your connection.
Does it start with Windows?
It is off by default. Switch it on in Settings, General if you want Rapidly to start quietly in the tray when you sign in. Rapidly can also stay in the tray when you close the window; the first time, it tells you.
How do I uninstall it?
Windows Settings, Apps, Rapidly Download Manager, Uninstall. It installs for your user only and does not need administrator rights.
